Ultimate AK

The AK-47 strain, and all her crosses is yet another one of the classic strains that originated in the Netherlands around the 1980’s and 1990’s. AK-47 belongs to the family of early hybrids, that were result of crossing strains that were the opposites when it comes to their genetic origin. Also known as K2, it is a very famous strain that each and one of us kept buying and smoking in Amsterdam’s 1990-2000.

The genesis of the AK-47 also goes back to the 1990’s Amsterdam, where breeders from Serious Seeds company, one of the well established cannabis seedbanks in holland developed a cross between Thai and Afghani genetics. Thanks to this development we have learned a lot about the way how different landrace genetics interact with each other and how to choose the right cultivars in order to produce even stronger and bigger plants. This has also established the Netherlands with its famous cannabis strains.

AK-47 would derive it’s name from the fact that it had knocked out inexperienced users just after one toke. Hence the “one hit wonder” term has been established among the cannabis community for the strains that would give an immediate effect even after one hit. We should also remember that back in those days, usual cannabis product used by a smoker was of a poor quality, mostly some outdoor sinsemillas with a very little content of THC, therefore once introduced to some first potent hybrids like AK-47, White Widow were blown away by the effects.

Ultimate AK is our version of an original AK-47 and it is the original mother plant, crossed to our amazing producer Sumo’s Big Bud, what you get is both the main character of the AK with even bigger yields and super resistance.

Flowering time and appearance of Ultimate AK cannabis seeds:

The Ultimate AK is a very easy to grow strain with a flowering time of 8 weeks indoors. One of our most rapid finishing hybrid cannabis strains in our collection. Outdoors it will take 8 months and you can harvest this beauty in the beginning of October. She will remain small (0,50 – 0,90 cm indoors) but bushy with rock hard buds covered with glistening crystals. The buds are almost without leaves which makes it easy to manicure during the harvest. Outdoors she can reach a height of 160 cm. She will grow more wide than in length. Although she is very mold resistant be careful in humid and rainy regions.

We managed to create a perfect hybrid with the indica high yielding properties. Indoors a harvest between 420 to 520 is possible for even a novice grower.
If grown outdoors you can count on a harvest between 650 to 750 grams per plant. With enough sunlight and warm summers you can easily increase the yield of the Ultimate AK.
