Tangerine Snow F1 FAST Feminised is sativa-dominant. It was bred by crossing (Boost x Tangelo) with (Lavender x Power Plant). This is a FAST F1 hybrid derived from Cali genetics that has citrus terps, great extract-making potential, as well as high THC and yields.
Tangerine Snow F1 FAST growns indoors and outdoors. Flowering times indoors take between 8 – 10 weeks. Harvest time in the northern hemisphere is during September or March in the southern hemisphere. This strain grows best in hot, dry, humid and warm climates. Plants are tall and semi-branched, growing more than 200cm. tall. Plants are vigorous with high uniformity.
LIke many heavily sativa-dominant strains, Tangerine Snow F1 FAST offers excellent resistance to mould, as well as to plant pests and diseases. Citrus terps. and good resin coverage makes this a very good extract strain, with the ‘washing’ method delivering very good yields of hash.
The citrus terp. profile evokes mandarins and tangerines, also having sweet candy notes. THC production is high at 24% while CBD is low. The effect is uplifting and energising, perfect for day-time and early evening use.
What are F1 Cannabis Strains?
F1 cannabis seeds or plants are the first generation offspring of two parent plants. F1 hybrid seeds or strains are the first generation
offspring of two pure, distinct strains. Note that using two pure lines, the result of intensive inbreeding, is drastically different to simple cross-breeding.
F1 plants have been used for decades throughout the agricultural industry because they offer several advantages; hybrid vigour allows plants to grow bigger more quickly. Plants are more uniform, stable and offer greater resistance to plant pests and diseases. Yields are much higher too, an important consideration.
However, it should be noted that it is not recommended to allow F1 plants to breed for seed crops as the resulting F2 plants will be much less uniform, being less stable and having greater genetic variability. New F1 seeds will need to be purchased or a lengthy and complex F1 breeding project carried out to produce more seedstock.
What are FAST cannabis strains?
So-called FAST (version) cannabis strains are photoperiod strains that have been crossed with an autoflowering strain with the progeny being selected for further breeding to produce seeds on the basis of non-autoflowering characteristics. In other words, they are phoperiod (photosensitive) plants that have inherited the auto parent’s tendency for shorter/faster flowering times.
While FAST versions have very similar traits to the photoperiod parent, and can be grown indoors, they are possibly most useful to outdoor growers in more marginal regions where standard photoperiod versions might not mature before bad weather sets in. They are also recommended for the more impatient grower who doesn’t want to grow autoflowering plants.
Depending on the original photoperiod version’s flowering time, a FAST version may flower between one and three weeks faster.
